Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 September 2026.
Aquaro (operated by Infuzeit, ABN 61 630 827 299) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through aquaro.com.au, how we use it, and your rights, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
We collect personal information you give us directly, including:
- Name, email, phone number, and delivery/billing address, when you place an order or contact us
- Account details, if you create one
- Order history and correspondence with our customer care team
- Trade account details, if you apply for a trade account
We don’t collect or store your full payment card details — those go directly to Stripe (see below).
2. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process and deliver your order, and send order/shipping updates
- Respond to enquiries and warranty or return claims
- Calculate live shipping costs for your delivery address
- Manage your account, if you have one
- Meet our legal and tax obligations
We don’t sell your personal information to third parties, and we don’t use it for anything beyond what’s described here without asking you first.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with a small number of service providers who help us run the site and fulfil orders:
- Stripe — processes your payment. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Shippit — a shipping platform we use to calculate live courier pricing and, once your order is dispatched, to arrange delivery. Your delivery address and parcel details are shared with Shippit and the courier that ends up delivering your order.
- SMTP2GO — sends transactional emails on our behalf (order confirmations, shipping updates, account emails). Your email address and the content of those emails pass through their systems to reach your inbox.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — powers the address suggestions you see while typing your delivery address at checkout. What you type is sent to their lookup service to find matching addresses.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your cart and wishlist between visits, and a cookie to keep track of your checkout session — both are functional, not tracking or advertising cookies. We don’t currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the site.
5. Storage and security
Your information is stored on secure servers and protected by industry-standard measures. No online system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
6. Access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time — contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or the law. The current version is always the one published here.
